Select families/individuals who accept your help. Allocate 2 people on ‘sandwich making’ duty at your church hall/space (you could end up with 20 people making sandwiches and filling cordial bottles or thermos, if you have 10 groups!). The remaining 4 people head off and work on blitzing someone’s backyard! When lunch arrives, sit with the family or elderly person and enjoy a picnic at lunchtime to give everyone enough energy to finish the job that was started!

The Longest Lutheran Lunch is an annual event of the Lutheran Church of Australia. It is an opportunity for people to connect and re-connect with us. Through God's gifts of service and hospitality we invite and welcome those who may not feel comfortable coming to worship but are happy to join us in a social setting. Let's bless them with our love, as God has blessed us.
